Once upon a time, I dreamt of becoming a foreign correspondent in a disaster zone.
Five days into this heatwave, and five days of doing ‘the last read’ – I sit at my desk in wet bikini’s, with a hangover and a strong coffee, sheets pinned over the windows, my feet in a bucket of cold water, checking each and every last file, before my book goes to the printer – yes, today – I feel like all my dreams have come true!
Now I may not have lived one dream but another as The Age has just rang to confirm a story in regards to my official launch this March at Port Fairy Folk Festival.
